Described as minimalist, whimsical and contemporary, I am a silversmith handcrafting jewellery from my workshop in suburban Melbourne.

Born, raised and living in the City of Greater Dandenong my work is influenced by my diverse community and the balance I enjoy between green spaces (adoring my ‘pet’ galahs and ringtail possums) and urban comforts (not too far from the city).

I grew up in the 80s where my crafty mum filled our home with glue, wadding and endless meters of lace; dad being a mechanic had great tools to play with. Pieces I make today borrow from that childhood, whether by using vintage lace as a texture or customising tools for particular projects.

My pieces are crafted using traditional silversmithing techniques often featuring shapes and characters arising from doodles on the backs of envelopes. Being a fidgeter I also enjoy making jewellery that is kinetic or tactile.

I enjoy the manual process of making jewellery and want the wearer to know that each piece I make is personal to me. Because it’s such a hands-on process, I feel personally connected to and invested in everything I make.

My favourite tools are my antique rolling mill, second-hand jewelers’ saw, torch from Argentina and decades old small, well worn, Spanish pliers inherited from my abuela.
